Canadian Volkssport Federation – Participants travel at their own pace and several distances are usually available. Volkssports are ideal activities for the entire family, and also a great way to meet new friends.

American Heart Walk – As the signature fund-raising event for the American Heart Association, the American Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun family environment.

Race For The Cure – Help in the fight against breast cancer. Walk or run in a “Race For The Cure” in your area. The International Grant Program of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation provides funding for basic, clinical and translational breast cancer research and for innovative projects in the areas of breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment.

Avon 2 Day Walk – Avon Breast Cancer 2 Day Walk – The net proceeds from the Avon Breast Walks will fund non-profit breast health programs, programs that provide support services for women undergoing treatment for breast cancer, and cutting-edge medical research on breast cancer. Choose your distance…. two half marathons, or a marathon one day and half marathon the next.

Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk – The great distance of the 3-Day is now matched by the great reputation of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, one of the world’s leading cancer organizations. Eighty-five percent of the net monies raised from the 3-Day will benefit The Komen Foundation, which is dedicated to eradicating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease through research, screening, education and treatment.

24 Mile Walk for Life – Tacoma, Washington – 24 mile fundraiser benefiting breast cancer services for women and men in South Puget Sound.

MS Challenge – The MS Challenge Walk is a three-day, 50-mile challenge that tests your strength and your spirit, and makes an extraordinary difference in the lives of the 400,000 people living with the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. You can also support MS by walking in your local shorter distance MS Walk. These walks are held in many cities across the U.S. and range from 5k to 15k.

The annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk is a fun-filled nationwide fund-raising event held during the holiday season. Choose from a 5K fun run or walk. Seasonal costumes and shoelaces with jingling bells will start you on your way to a magical holiday season.

National Kidney Foundation Walk – The NKF’s Kidney Walks are designed to help people understand the need for early detection of kidney disease. In addition to raising funds for research and help for patients and their families, the Walk is a great way to bring the community together!

Walk America – WalkAmerica is the walk that saves babies. The March of Dimes fund-raiser, WalkAmerica supports lifesaving research and community programs that save innocent babies from birth defects, low birth weight and infant death.

Leukemia Society Light the Night Walk – The Light The Night Walk is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s nationwide evening walk. Walkers carry illuminated balloons to celebrate and commemorate the lives touched by cancer.

American Cancer Society Relay for Life – Walk with a team to fight cancer. Call your friends and family, lace up your shoes and get ready for the Relay For Life. A fun-filled, overnight event, Relay For Life mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones and raise money for the fight against cancer.

Asthma Walk – Asthma affects millions of individuals each year. Please consider joining your local American Lung Association® Blow the Whistle on Asthma walk. The Asthma Walk is an annual fundraising event held in many cities throughout the US. Click here to find a location near you.

Arthritis Foundation Walk – You say you want to help. Well here’s your chance. Great Strides Walk for Cystic Fibrosis – The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes – Last year, JDRF’s Walk to Cure Diabetes, a walkathon held in over 200 locations, raised more than $80 million for diabetes research.
